Restaurant META - Palais Campofranco Bozen - a feast for the senses!
In one of the most historic places in Bolzano with a view of Piazza Walther or the over 160-year-old ginkgo tree in the inner courtyard, you can enjoy the combination of design, light and international cuisine at the highest level.

For us it was a wonderful evening in a wonderful ambience with very pleasant background music, which was just the right volume so that we didn't feel disturbed and on the other hand we couldn't hear the conversations at the next table.
The attentive, discreet but always present service surprised us at the beginning with a wonderful amuse-bouche of hand-cut tuna tartare with marinated red onions on an avocado mirror.
For starters, we chose the spaghetti vongole and the tortelli filled with roast beef with onions. If you look at the pictures of the starters here, you can imagine what explosions of taste and visual experiences these dishes offer.
And for the main course, we really wanted to know whether the bouillabaisse from META could keep up with the one in Marseille. You too will be delighted, because it contains all the fine fish and crustaceans that this dish needs, and is impressive due to its lightness and good balance of flavors.
In addition to fish, the menu also offers a nice selection of meat dishes, which are also characterized by the creativity of the components and the presentation.
After 4 days of feasting, we had to forego dessert this time due to "capacity reasons", although the menu has many delicacies to offer.
If you don't want to enjoy the typical traditional South Tyrolean cuisine in Bolzano, but would like to applaud the balancing act of regionally rooted dishes with an international twist and all this in an extraordinary ambience, then you can't miss META Bozen.
