Restaurant Brix 01 - The concept, the ambience, the architecture - unique in Brixen!

If you drive past Brixen on the Brenner motorway, the building of the "durst" group of companies will immediately catch your eye because of its architecture. A perfect example of the creativity of the South Tyroleans!

We recommend that you leave the motorway in Brixen and head to another, extremely creative hotspot.

Not far from the durst company, in the Lidopark of Brixen, directly on and partly above the lake, lies the setting for creative, international cuisine in an ambience that would also fit in New York, Singapore or Hong Kong - the Brix 01 restaurant .

Two chefs who have cooked together around the world, a service that would win a gold medal from guests anywhere in the world, an atmosphere that makes you forget where in the world you are after entering the restaurant.

Subtle music accompanies the enjoyment of culinary highlights as well as the excellent selection of wines. 

All essential ingredients of the dishes come from our own farm or from nearby producers - sustainability is part of the concept here.

For starters, we chose a burrata with avocado and Taggiasca olives and a saffron risotto with prawns grilled over an open fire. Both were impressive due to their surprising combinations of flavors and craftsmanship.

For the main course we chose eagle fish fried on the skin and venison saddle medium/rare - a perfect decision!

Although that's not entirely true. Because when we saw the huge paella pan at the next table, which was being scraped out by guests until the last drop of sauce, we were a little jealous :-). But it was also the moment when we made a clear decision - in the summer we'll eat it on the terrace above the lake!

The desserts are also highly recommended, although we were unfortunately unable to photograph them because our cell phone battery was empty ;-(

Our conclusion: All expectations of the kitchen were exceeded, more competence and friendliness in the service is really not possible, feel-good factor 10 out of 10 points!

We are already looking forward to an enjoyable summer evening at Brix 01.
